AnimalMusic - JAZZ label

Another Animal Music release this year will be at the beginning of November first solo album of a girl called ZEURITIA. The album is made of brazilian classic tunes as well as compositions inspired by brazilian music, in bossa nova and samba rhythms and in modern jazz arrangements. Zeuritia sings in perfect portuguese. Album was produced and arranged by guitarist Libor Šmoldas, other musicians include Tomáš Vokurka on drums, Michal Baranski on acoustic bass and bass guitar, Michal Tokaj on piano and fender rhodes and Miloš Dvořáček on percussions. Two new albums will be released by Animal Music in September 2008: Vertigo Quintet & Dorota Barová CD will be released on 1st Sept and Petr Zelenka´s second album ”Memory Flash” will be released on 22nd Sept.

Organic Quartet was awarded by the public as the best band at the 32nd International Jazz Festival in Spanish Getxo. Ondřej Pivec was awarded by the public  as the best soloist. This huge jazz festival has a long history, over  17,000 viewers came to see 22 concerts during the four festival days. The overall winner of the competition, selected by the jury, was Kristian Brink Quartet from Sweden.

Czech guitarist Petr Zelenka and his international Quartet of musicians (Olivier Zanot - sax, Yoni Zelnik - bass, Karl Jannuska - dr) have just finished recording of their new album to be released on Animal Music label in September 2008.

“A Question To All Your Answers”, album by Jaromír Honzák Quartet released on Animal Music label in October 2007, won “Czech Grammy” - award by Academy of popular music - as the best jazz and blues CD of 2007.
